4 Things I Bought on Etsy for my Baby

I’m a big fan of all things Etsy. Etsy is a handmade marketplace that has all kinds of things from home decor items to personalized matching family pyjamas.

In the past, I’ve used Etsy for a variety of things. Gifts for my wedding party, toys for my first child and Christmas gifts for my husband. I even used to sell things on Etsy!

This post is about baby related items that I bought on Etsy and loved.

Toys

Personalized iPhone 5 baby toy teether ($16.31) – I think I bought this toy more for me than for her. She never really took to this toy, but it was so well done and we’re great iPhone lovers here I thought it would be perfect. On a side-note, this seller is local. Her shop is in Rockland, Ontario.

Nursery

Birch tree decal with flying birds ($123.71+) – A little pricey, but worth every penny. This decal was extremely easy to put up and looked great in our daughter’s nursery. I would order from this seller again if I was doing a woodland themed room.

Baby

Monthly baby stickers ($12.23) – I bought these on Etsy for my first child. I couldn’t find them anywhere in Ottawa. They were really great and showed well in pictures. I would recommend this seller again.

Personalized baby blanket (not listed) – I bought this for my first on Etsy. I absolutely adored it. With the Canadian $ being so low, I’m going to wait a bit before ordering my second. The receiving blanket was very soft and a great quality. It made for a great memento.

Wish List

While I have not purchased any of these items, I’ve ooh’ing and ahh’ing over them for a long time. Just need to bring myself to hit the “buy”  button. Here are some of my top picks:

Have you purchased anything on Etsy for your little one? What did you buy? Who was the seller?

Personal Priorities

How do you set your personal priorities? I’m struggling with that a bit myself. There are so many things that I feel like I should be doing at the same time. I’m a great multi-tasker. As I’m writing this I’m drinking coffee, answering text messages, listening to Canada AM news, admiring this cute pin I found at Value Village and writing this blog post.

For myself, I’ve decided that family comes first. When my daughter is awake, I’m awake with her. We’re doing things, making her laugh, reading books. Those special moments are so precious, I don’t want to miss a beat.

I’m next in line. Me. I take this time to shower, brush teeth, drink coffee, sit for a minute, fitness, eat. I’m important too. I need to take care of me, in order to take care of everyone else.

Home. My home is my castle. Although it is messy most of the time, I do my best to keep it clean. I take this time to quickly Windex windows, take dishes out of the dishwasher, make the beds, etc…

This is where the blog comes in. Hello, this is where I’m at today. When I go back to work after maternity leave, things may shift a bit, but blogging will always be on my list.

Then my Etsy shop. Ha! Didn’t see that one coming!?! I’m working on an Etsy shop to sell my crafty creations and cool stuff I find in thrift stores. I’m a huge thrift store fan. I love #findthefind. It makes me feel good when I find something cool. I want to share it with the world. My house it pretty small, so unfortunately, I can’t keep everything, so I hope that someone on the Internet can find some love for the cool things I find.

Reading is also on my list. While on maternity leave, I’ve found a new love for the Ottawa Public Library. Lately, I’ve been into reading biographies and books on tattoos. It’s pretty cool stuff. Reading keeps me thinking creatively, so I’ve added it to my list of priorities.

Everything else comes after this.

What do you have on your list of personal priorities? Do you agree with my list?
